  13. As a filipinp/puerto rican. Lemme tell you the best are puerto rican version. Fried (deep or pan). Onions and garlic are chopped very small and sauteed, then ground beef is cooked in the onions and garlic. After cooked, add tomato paste, salad olives, and salt and pepper to taste (or Adobo or Tony's to taste). Put a slice or pinch (if shredded) of any cheese (or.no cherse)onto the wrapper and scoop filling into it. Then fold, crimp, and fry. And wallah, delicious. (Of course this can easily be edited and made vegan.

  15. I’m Filipino and this brings back memories from when I was younger. My cousins, sister, Mom, aunts, and I would have a whole day dedicated to making empanadas! I love them. We always baked half and fried half!

    Spanish originally… Mexicans never colonized and don't really have empanadas. South American countries like Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina do. Fried or baked. Spanish ones are baked. Can contain just about anything.

That’s kind of what most people do when they don’t know what they’re going to cook, they look around in their fridge and their cabinets to find something to possibly throw together. Loving it
