  7. The ketogenic diet is recommended only for those who are diagnosed from neurological disorders (i.e. epilepsy). Glucose is the main (and preferred) source of energy for the brain, and carbohydrates are essential for a balanced diet. THE AVERAGE PERSON SHOULD NOT GO ON THE KETOGENIC DIET, and it can have a negative impact with long-term use. Talk to a REGISTERED DIETITIAN if you have questions!

  11. I started the Keto diet 4 years ago after I had been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer. The cancer cells cannot use ketone bodies as a food source, and with no glucose as a fuel, they therefore die of starvation. I am now almost free of cancer, outliving the my prognosis by nearly a year so far, and I feel fabulous! Weight loss for me is just a happy side effect, and over the 4 years I have lost 10 kgs.

  12. Mr oz is not a doctor he is barely a mr. He is also a thief, because he steals material from Dr Berg, and most probably other true healers and then causes impression that this is bis material. This man only serves his pockets. If you really want to be healthy find Dr Berg. He is a real deal. This guys is kind of repulsive deceiver.

  14. Well Keto literally saved my life. I've been overweight most of my life & no diet or exercise routine worked for me. I was diagnosed with a thyroid problem & I was pre-diabetic. I almost gave up on ever being a normal weight and started to accept that I would probably die before I turned 40. Then I heard about keto so gave it a shot. I lost over 20lbs in the first month.   18. Started Keto on January 14th, 2019 at 315 pounds. Its Febuary 10th now, and I weigh 278 pounds. Thats 37 pounds in 27 days! Im full throughout the day, I have tons of energy, and I honestly have never felt better. If you keep your carbs below 10g's a day combined with light workouts, the fat will melt off of you. Its not easy, but if you want it bad enough, you can achieve it on keto. Hopefully by next year I'll be fit enough to get into my local police academy.

I'm trying this keto diet I have a 100 pds to lose I have bacon and eggs for breakfast and if still hunger eat plenty of veggies I don't eat bread or pasta anymore I found that the more fat I eat the less cravings I have for sugar being that I was addicted to sugar the only problem is if I eat bacon it keeps me full all day and I don't eat again until the next day I have learned discipline over food to only eat when hungry and when I'm not don't eat drink water

  25. This diet will absolutely 100% make your hair thin and fall out if you don’t believe what I’m saying then do a little research on why your hair falls out I would recommend that you stay far away from this diet if you want to look young and healthy

I am 38 years old and i been on keto and intermittent fasting a little over 3 months….first 3 months I lost 56 pounds…. just started omad 5 days ago but my one meal is still strictly keto and I have lost another 8 pounds in the last 5 days…. weight is dropping off me…. I went from blood pressure of 160 170s alot of times even with my bp meds…to normal bp now of around 105/60 and have quit 2 of my bp meds to!!! Only one more to go and I'm med free!!!… I have the energy of a toddler now and it has totally changed my life….I will never look back!!! #KetoForLife

    BUT, you can actually throw in some leafy green vegetables and a few salad vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower into the acceptable keto food list.

    New dieters are STRONGLY encouraged to track their macronutrients in grams, not ratios nor percentage of their calorie intake. The "Standard Ketogenic Diet" is certainly NOT a 75% dietary fat intake diet for overweight or obese people seeking significant weight loss. It is, however, pretty common for a leaner and more active adult seeking only modest weight loss or at maintenance calories.

    Also, the macro ratios given for the "high protein" version of the ketogenic diet is somewhat misleading. It is true that bodybuilders and the aged need higher grams of protein in their diet. However, many dieters will find that they can survive on a bit lower fat intake and hence achieve that higher protein "ratio" described in the video without eating a lot more grams of protein.

  42. 80 pounds gone in less than 6 months. All blood work and other medical tests are excellent. Everything is in the proper range! Love Keto because the foods taste great, are filling, and once you get the hang of it there is nothing simpler or more effective.
